Open to Mental Health Support Workers with a Level 4 Certificate and relevant mental health experience
Permanent Part-Time Role(s) up to 0.8FTE

Right now, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our new health initiative: the Integrated Primary Mental Health and Addiction Model. The role is at the heart of primary care within general practice and is committed to the health and wellbeing of individuals, groups and whanau of all ages.
As an experienced support worker the successful applicant will be working with General Practice as an integrated team member to help clients gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to become active participants in their own care. All this is so that clients can reach their own self-identified health goals.
The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills to carry out the intervention sessions and also the associated reporting. Team work and relationship management are also critical to success.
Location and Hours
This is a permanent, part-time role, covering the South Canterbury region (Twizel, Geraldine, Timaru, Temuka and Waimate). We are open to having more than one person fill this 0.8FTE vacancy and we ask you to please detail your preferred working hours/FTE in your application.
If you are passionate about contributing to a multi-disciplinary approach to healthcare, this moment is yours. Applicants will have completed the level 4 certificate in mental health support work and addiction or a recognised equivalent qualification for this role.
A current full driver’s license is also essential for this vacancy given the community facing nature of the role.
Specific Health Coach training will be given as part of this role.
