Job Description
The Opportunity;
We are recruiting for a Tours Charter and Intercity Manager for the South Island to join Ritchies, based in Christchurch, reporting to the National Manager- Tours, Charters & InterCity.
This role is pivotal in providing operational and people leadership ensuring that tours, charters and Intercity operations are run safely and efficiently at all times and that our people are engaged and high performing.
This is a great opportunity for an individual that is looking for a hands-on operational role in a well-known organisation. You will be responsible for the South Island Tours Charters & InterCity Operations known colloquially as TCIS. This role is varied, from managing quotes and assisting with tenders when necessary, to ensuring compliance with customer contract performance KPIS, as well as overall responsibility for work scheduling, rostering and managing drivers.
This role will create a strong team environment by developing your people as well as being collaborative with other teams/depots to ensure best for business results.

We partner with regional councils and schools to supply public transport services as well as offering a range of bus and coach hire services to businesses and the general public. About You;
You’re a leader that has excellent communication and relationship management skills. Whilst you do not necessarily need to be from the transport sector, it would be an advantage, however an interest and desire to know this area is required. You've got proven operational management experience and proven success leading teams. You're tech savvy and a problem solver that thinks ahead to the next step.
You pride yourself on your eye for detail and your time management skills to be able to manage multiple priorities.
You’re a great team player and can communicate with a variety of people and groups in a manner that is concise and easy to understand. You take health and safety seriously and are an advocate for it’s importance.
Your Skills;
Proven experience leading teams
Self-starter
Excellent leadership skills
Ideally a tertiary qualification in business or similar
Strong communicator
Great business acumen
Experience/knowledge in public transport is desirable
Health and safety savvy
Full and clean minimum Class 1 NZ license
