This position reports to
Procurement & Logistics Manager

Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support regional/global sourcing initiatives. You will develop, plan and implement the procurement and logistics strategy for the Electronic Component category or group of categories, with a focus on optimizing costs, quality, delivery and reliability. Each day, you will purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring the purchase activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. The work model for the role is: Onsite #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the Power Protection Product Group in Napier, New Zealand. Main stakeholders are electrical engineers in the R&D departments with potential future involvement with international teams. Another key stakeholder will be the PCBA Global Category Manager within Power Protection. You will be mainly accountable for: •Implementing effective sourcing strategies in line with the Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing process and business strategy, ensuring that suppliers can meet current and future business requirements, as well as ensuring that all relevant parties grasp strategies and execute processes accordingly. •Running benchmark studies for the Category team and for specific sourcing initiatives by choosing appropriate suppliers (focusing on quality, delivery, cost and sustainability) in accordance with company policies •Adapting corporate contractual frameworks to local business needs, and recommending frame agreements to management and executing them, as well as providing oversight and contract management with suppliers •Supporting regional/global sourcing initiatives within a defined set of categories, working closely with key stakeholders to implement regional category strategies. •Fostering effective communication internally, externally, and between businesses and supports the implementation of procurement activities and initiatives in the region/country through this clear communication. Qualifications for the role
Intermediate experience in electronics components, passive/active components and/or PCBAs management.
You have intermediate level experience in strategic sourcing for electronic components, with a focus on collaborating closely with R&D teams.
Possess an enhanced knowledge of SAP, POWER BI, Microsoft and are highly adept in managing the challenges of a changing supply market.
You hold a degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, with a demonstrated track record in strategic sourcing, negotiation and extensive knowledge of electronic components.
You are at ease communicating in English.
