Kiwis love to garden and we love to assist them with their gardening needs. Mitre 10 is New Zealand's leading gardening retailer, and we are looking for retail assistants with horticultural ability and a customer focused attitude to join our busy highly regarded Garden Centre in Dunedin.
We need someone with excellent physical fitness and strength as stock replenishment is part of this role. This is your chance to share your expertise and be part of a passionate and committed team.
Retail is high energy and constantly changing. It's an exciting industry to be in and Mitre 10 offers great career opportunities supported by industry training qualifications. Previous experience in the garden industry is essential. You will need to have a general passion for all things gardening and retail as well as:
Is customer-driven and strives for excellence
Enjoys selling and interacting with people, and are down to earth
Have a good understanding and full appreciation of the importance of the health and safety in the workplace.
Have an eye for detail
Excellent time management
Have horticultural knowledge and experience
Love gardening and enjoy sharing their knowledge with others
Physically fit as heavy lifting is involved
Health and Safety awareness

The positions are:
Friday and Saturday - 16hrs
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday - 24hrs
