te tūranga | About the Role
Sutherland House, located at Hōhepa’s main campus, is looking for an energetic and empathetic individual to join our team. In this role, you will be providing support to 4 ladies who are in their early 20's to mid 30's that have various routines, ranging from attending the LEAP Day program to 1:1 Support.
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to engage in various activities, such as attending festivals and helping the people we support develop skills to foster independence within their home environment. In this role, you will work alongside another staff member to ensure that Sutherland House thrives on structure, routine, and active participation in household activities.
You will be energetic, empathetic, and able to work closely with the people we support, focusing on creating a life filled with rich and diverse experiences. You should be adept at reading situations, problem-solving, and knowing when to apply boundaries or offer space. Daily tasks include supporting daily routines while encouraging independence to develop skills and personal growth. You will need the confidence to assist with personal care, cooking, medication administration, and household tasks.

This position's salary scale is set by pay equity and dependant on qualification level, pays between $23.15 and $28.25 per hour.

Tuesday 7am to 9 am, 4 pm to 9 pm
